I am again honored to be serving on the Tampa Bay Heart Ball Executive Cabinet and doing my part in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
As you may know, in 2014 my sister and best friend, Kim Torres, passed away due to complications with a routine surgery. Many years prior to her passing, she was diagnosed with two forms of heart disease, which only a few years prior to her diagnosis, would have significantly impaired her ability to lead a normal life. Due to research advancements and the resulting treatment, including a defibrillator and an array t of medication, she was able to lead a productive and normal life. Kim was a Nurse Practitioner, who had a passion for helping and treating her patients. Her profession allowed her to truly appreciate the advances made in treating heart disease. Although Kim is no longer with us, I am confident she would be happy to know I am involved with the American Heart Association's in their efforts to fight heart disease.
I truly value your friendship and partnership. I view you not just as a friend, but as a partner with us in an effort to make our communities healthier. I hope you will consider helping me with this great cause with a small donation – any amount helps.
Thank you.
Steve
