A Message from our Chair
Dear Friends,
Julie and I are honored to serve as the chairs for the 2017 Tampa Bay Heart Ball. We decided to support the American Heart Association not only because we’re passionate about building a healthier community, but because – like many of you – heart disease is personal for us. My grandfather passed away at the age of 50 and my father unexpectedly at 70 years old from heart disease. Julie and I have four sons and we want nothing more than for them to live long, healthy lives, and to be around to share all of life’s precious moments with them.
Looking back at the tremendous success of last year’s event lead by Trey and Nina Traviesa, we wanted to thank those of you who supported the 2016 ball and more importantly the mission of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
Our local American Heart Association positively affects the Tampa Bay community in many ways. They are present on every athletic field that’s equipped with a life-saving automated external defibrillator. They are present in each restaurant where you are able to breathe clean, smoke-free air. They are present in every hospital where doctors save countless lives with technology developed from research funded by the organization. They are present throughout local worksites that have American Heart-inspired walking paths, food and beverage guidelines, and employee wellness initiatives. You can see the effect of your donor dollars everywhere.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 29, 2017, and join us at the Tampa Marriott Waterside for the Heart Ball. This promises to be an unforgettable and fun-filled evening with lively entertainment, intriguing auction lots, and a savory – yet heart-healthy – dinner. Most of all, this is a time to gather your friends together and celebrate the wonderful strides we are taking to make our community a healthy place to live.
We look forward to continuing the legacy and success of the Tampa Bay Heart Ball and hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Allen & Julie Brinkman
